DRC has more than 45 years of experience in the design and manufacture of optical encoders. Standard products range from a (3.5") diameter optical rotary encoder that produces 2,304,000 pulses per shaft revolution to a (72.0") optical linear encoder with .07 micron resolution. DRC offers the following encoder products:

	Modular Encoders - DRC offers a wide variety of Modular Encoders. Standard products range from a 1.5" diameter x .81" height, to a 3" diameter x 1.5" height. Resolution ranges from 50 cycles per shaft revolution up to 100,000 counts per shaft revolution. Standard units can mount to 13 different shaft diameters up to ¾ inch.
	Rotary Shaft Encoders - DRC offers 11 different styles of standard Shaft Encoders to meet your specific rotary encoder application needs. Sizes range from 1.625" diameter to 3.5" diameter. Resolutions range from 50 cycles per shaft revolution up to 2,304,000 counts per revolution. Standard packages include NEMA 4X enclosure ratings, stainless steel optical discs, and shaft loading capabilities of up to 80 pounds.
	Hollow Shaft Encoders - DRC offers three different Hollow Shaft Encoder designs to choose from. Hollow shaft encoders eliminate the problems associated with installation and shaft runout. Units range from 50 cycles per revolution to 100,000 counts per revolution. Hollow shaft mounting configurations can easily mount from 1.0 mm diameter shaft, up to a 40 mm diameter shaft.
	Linear Encoders - DRC also offers a full line of Linear Encoders in five different styles to choose from: a fully enclosed, an open series, and a probe type series. Travels range from 2.0 inches up to 72 inches. Resolutions are down to .07 Micron, in either metric or English outputs. Operates at speeds of up to 200 inches per second.
	Interface Products - DRC offers an IBM compatible interface card that will translate the output from up to six different optical encoders, directly to a PC through a standard ISA Bus. Standard options include up to 1.0 MHz input rate, user selectable address locations, and 24 bit presettable counters on board. Easy to use software is included, and prices start at $150.00 each.
